Develop automobile engineering professionals competent to face global challenges in a progressive environment conducive to learning technical knowledge, and skills blended with ethics and values, to serve society and to better it for a happy and comfortable living.
MISSION
M1: To provide a competitive learning environment, through a need-based curriculum design in collaboration with industry, conducive to high-quality education emphasizing on transfer of knowledge and skill development essential for the profession and the society as well
M2: To nurture higher-order leadership qualities and ethics and values in students to enable them to be leaders in their chosen professions while maintaining the highest level of ethics.
M3: To encourage the spirit of inquisition to promote innovation and entrepreneurship strengthened with life skills to sustain the stress.
M4: To faster effective interactions and networking with all the stakeholders so as to work towards to growth and sustainability of the society and environment.
PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
On completion of the Diploma in Automobile Engineering programme, the students should have acquired the following characteristics
PEO 1: To become an expert in specialized areas of automobile engineering such as design and manufacturing.
PEO 2: To become a successful entrepreneur with profound knowledge in core engineering to serve society with ethical values and social responsibilities.
PEO 3: To obtain competencies required to become an authorized professional in Automobile engineering like service engineer, supervisor etc.,
PEO 4: To be able to pursue advanced education and shall engage in the process of lifelong learning.
PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POS)
PO 1: basic and Discipline-specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to solve engineering problems.
PO 2: Problem analysis: Identify and analyze well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
PO 3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
PO 4: Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate techniques to conduct standard tests and measurements.
PO 5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in the context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
PO 6: Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team 6 member or as a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
PO 7: Life-long learning: Ability to analyze individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
